Keynote Session “Flying Responsibly: How American Airlines Embraces Environmental Performance”

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The aviation industry faces a very competitive landscape defined by ever-changing fuel prices, the demand for technical advances and constant evaluation by consumers. American Airlines, a recognized leader in corporate and environmental responsibility, has taken calculated steps to reduce its carbon footprint throughout all aspects of its business. The airline’s employees understand that part of flying responsibly is ensuring that the environmental impacts associated with American’s operations are minimized – from pre-flight planning to well after aircraft have delivered customers safely to their destinations. This presentation will outline and provide case studies of American’s evolution from environmental compliance to having an environmental conscience, and the impact of its “green” strategy on the company’s bottom line.
