Corporate Sustainability-Keeping Employees Engaged

As industry and businesses strive to increase the impact and effectiveness of their sustainability programs, the most important factor in creating a culture of sustainability is to engage employees across the enterprise. Whether these employees are engineers, supply chain professionals or work on the factory floor, it takes  long term commitment  and a focused approach to educate employees and change behavior. Ingersoll Rand has created several employee-focused programs that are actively focused at reducing waste, uncovering hidden energy savings, and contributing to the improvement of communities where employees work and live. In this session, Gretchen Digby, director for Employee Engagement and Education at the Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability (CEES) at Ingersoll Rand will discuss:

  • Best practices in employee volunteerism and how to add rigor and metrics to volunteer teams.

Discuss the company’s unique One STEP Forward program that leverages sustainability “ambassadors” across the organization.
